Okay, it's been a while since I posted a vid, and why might you ask? Well, mainly b/c I'm in college. Plus, classes this semester are a lot worse than the previous one, so I hardly have time to get on RS or even to make a vid. To make matters worse, I have other issues in life that are troubling at the time (most of which I can't tell you.) and other things I want to do as well. Like they said "You can't always have what you want all the time, and you only have so much time to do the things you want." Alright, I'm going to make a 2-in-1 vid here. The main discussion is about why you don't always want to be p2p all the time. Despite the previous discussion being rather flame-bait or heated, I'm hoping this one will be more calm and less stressful to my viewers. Before I begin, I am going to tell you that these reasons are my "OPINION" only and based on my current situation. If you can't handle it, I suggest you turn off the video right now. 1) Not enough time and I have other things to do (want to do) while in college, so no p2p runescape until winter or summer break. By this, I mean I am in other clubs, play other games with friends, and other activities like playing the piano, playing chess, etc. I know why you'll think that I spend a lot of time on RS mainly because of my high stats, but I don't. I just know what to do and how to rush skills while in RS and mostly, I rush skilling during summer and winter break. 2) Paying for something your not going to use (or hardly use) is almost like wasting money. Think about the times where you refuse to buy things at the store (irl) because you feel that it's a bad deal. Or whenever you just throw money in the streets for no reason. To me, that's very similar to what I am doing if I pay for something that I don't (or hardly ever) use. Now if you want to give the argument of being 'poor' well, that's a hasty generalization (logic, well you don't know it, so I will explain it). A hasty generalization is an claim or assumption that is taken from population or group based on a small inaccurate sample. In this case, just because some ppl refuse to be mems or could not be mems, does NOT mean that they are poor! There are different reasons for different situations. In my case, I do not have the time and I'm against paying or buying something that I don't use! 3) When there are still things you could in f2p (relatively fast in xp) such as easy skills, or massing supplies, and other things, you would save the time in p2p for harder skills and things that you can't do in f2p (or could, but will take forever). Take cooking and firemaking for example. Those skills are easily obtainable in f2p, even though ofc, p2p will be much, much faster, but I still prefer to use p2p for skills that are grueling to raise or are only for members (slayer, thieving, agility, etc.) Now you could argue that well 200xp/hr is WAY faster than 70k/hr or so, but IMO, I am happy with the 70k/hr because it is reasonably fast and it's pointless to be p2p when I am only playing about 4-5 hours per week or less because I won't benefit that much anyways. Without dragging this out further, I don't want to hang on this reason too long so maybe you could ask me via PM or comments. Alright, I hope that you enjoyed this video and again, the reasons I presented are only my "OPINION" and what I think based on my current life situation. Some people may have opposing views and objections and you are free to post what you think, but PLEASE do it in a civil manner (no flaming, rude comments, spam, or unconstructive arguments (e.g. you suck, this reason is shit, etc.)) All images are from google image search and various sites. http://www.collegefashion.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/student-stress.jpg http://prfx.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/throwing_away_money.jpg http://img165.imageshack.us/i/fullrunejc2.png/ http://s3.amazonaws.com/readers/2009/08/27/arrow_2.jpg (from these two, I just cropped out the pics.) Apr 12, 2010 - It's been over a few months since I posted this vid, and quite frankly, no one seems to post any comments or feedback on this vid. I hope to see some comments soon and btw, remember the rules of posting before you do so.
